Intimate Seattle Portraits - Claire and Cole

I think this session is more proof that it's not always about the gorgeous scenery here in Seattle! Of course the PNW has some incredible locations for mountains, forests and ocean views. Honestly though it's a nice change of pace to stay close to home for a more quiet and intimate portrait shoot. We started off at Bar Vacilando in Capitol Hill, they were nice enough to let us run around before they got too busy. Then we headed on over to Cole's parent's house, and wow is it a beautiful home!

Olympic Peninsula Engagement - Caitlin and Chance

It's finally here! The first couple to win the adventurous engagement giveaway is up! Caitlin and Chance grew up on the Olympic Peninsula so we wanted to find a location that incorporated everything they love about the Pacific Northwest, the rainforest, the scenery, the water, mountains and everything inbetween. Somewhere along the way I saw some photos of Lake Cushman and as soon as I saw this area of Olympic National Park I was blown away and I knew it would be perfect!

We couldn't have been any luckier! The weather was absolutely perfect, and there was barely a crowd especially for a warm sunny Saturday.

A Portrait With Heartland Alliance

There's many projects that I work on in collaboration with non-profits. Many of them I can't blog or post about to protect the identity of the participants. My most recent portrait shoot with Heartland Alliance in Chicago is a rare exception.

Dallas has one amazing story. After going through homelessness, being diagnosed HIV positive, losing an eye to infection, and struggling to pull his life together. He now has his own apartment, his health is in check and he's learning Taekwondo! I spent an afternoon with Dallas to grab a few shots for Heartland Alliance's annual newsletter.

Robyn & TJ - Rialto Beach

So I'll just get this out there in the open, I am the worst about blogging! I dread it, it takes me forever to pick out my favorite images. Plus I've been a little busy, preparing for my own wedding and I've even managed to get married since my last post!

Enough about me, let's talk about these two incredible people. Robyn and TJ are not just your everyday couple. I actually worked for Robyn right out of college and we've been arguing about all things photography ever since, in a loving way of course! But since there anniversary lined up with a trip to Seattle I convinced them to come out to Rialto Beach on the Washington coast with me.
