Colorado Road Trip

Back in October I shot an engagement session in Colorado, and of course I used that as a chance to see as much of the state as possible! I had to get to a wedding in North Carolina so I had about a week to camp, hike and explore. I'd say Colorado absolutely gives Washington a run for it's money. There was so much to see and do that I can't wait to get back and see even more.

For this trip Samuel Luckas Gove, my old studio manager and long time friend, pretended to be a tour guide as we road tripped all over the state!

North Cascades National Park Engagement

Wow, Jordan and Brook were amazing! I thought it was going to be hard to convince them to come out to go snowshoeing through the Cascade mountains in Washington with me. As usual I was completely wrong, they loved the idea and were able to borrow some snowshoes from some friends and were ready to hit the trails with me.

The most gorgeous and easily accessible trail for some mountain snowshoeing is Artist Point near Mt Baker. (here's a link to the trail information in case you're interested) It's absolutely stunning! Unfortunately we had a cloudy day, but it gave us some fresh snow so it's hard to complain too much. The biggest and by far best surprise of the day was finding an igloo!

Olympic Peninsula Engagement - Caitlin and Chance

It's finally here! The first couple to win the adventurous engagement giveaway is up! Caitlin and Chance grew up on the Olympic Peninsula so we wanted to find a location that incorporated everything they love about the Pacific Northwest, the rainforest, the scenery, the water, mountains and everything inbetween. Somewhere along the way I saw some photos of Lake Cushman and as soon as I saw this area of Olympic National Park I was blown away and I knew it would be perfect!

We couldn't have been any luckier! The weather was absolutely perfect, and there was barely a crowd especially for a warm sunny Saturday.
