Villa Vashon with Christina & Kevin

Christina and Kevin's wedding was the perfect mix of love and fun. The whole day was filled with some delicious food, incredible views, and some amazing time with friends and family.

Their wedding was also what got me out to Vashon Island for the first time! I biked the entire island to find the perfect spot for their Last Shot. As soon as I got to the shore on the south end of the island I knew I had found something amazing! Then came the night of the wedding and we were running low on time. We only had about an hour to drive to the opposite end of the island, get the shot and race back for the very last ferry of the day. I won't lie, we were breaking a few speed limit laws to get there! But in the end we grabbed an amazing photo! I did get to the ferry a little late, but luckily the ferry was behind schedule too and I made back to Seattle for the night.

Jardin Del Sol Wedding with Grace and Tai

I loved every bit of Grace and Tai's wedding. Mainly because they're two amazing people and of course their wedding was fun as hell! Besides the obvious, I also got to work with some of my favorite people in Seattle! Sprinkled In Seattle planned the whole thing and Studio 3 Floral put together the amazing arrangements. With our powers combined, it was an incredible day. Check it out for yourself!

Destination - Key West, FL with Lauren and Phil

I can't believe that my first 7 photoshoots this year were all travel and destination weddings! Literally from British Columbia to Mexico and almost everything in between. Lauren and Phil's wedding is one of my all time favorites! They brought me out to Key West, Florida for one gorgeous weekend filled with exploring, adventures, alligators, swamps and of course one hell of a wedding. It may have been 90 degrees out, but we didn't let that stop us from getting some incredible portraits throughout Key West.

Whenever I'm traveling for weddings I always try and do something fun to check out the local scenery. For Lauren and Phil's wedding I wanted to finally see Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve but I only had a short window of time to make it happen. So after I wrapped up their wedding I got about 2 hours of sleep and woke up at 2:30am and drove straight to the Everglades to catch sunrise. After that craziness I went out to Big Cypress to hike through some swamp land and find some alligators to photograph. See the end of the blog post to check out the photos!

A Portrait With Heartland Alliance

There's many projects that I work on in collaboration with non-profits. Many of them I can't blog or post about to protect the identity of the participants. My most recent portrait shoot with Heartland Alliance in Chicago is a rare exception.

Dallas has one amazing story. After going through homelessness, being diagnosed HIV positive, losing an eye to infection, and struggling to pull his life together. He now has his own apartment, his health is in check and he's learning Taekwondo! I spent an afternoon with Dallas to grab a few shots for Heartland Alliance's annual newsletter.
