This Chicago engagement session is perfect, I love this vantage point of Lake Michigan and the Chicago Skyline!
Yesterday I was at the Indiana Dunes State Park running around for an engagement session, well I had no idea but it turns out you can see the Chicago Skyline from the other side of Lake Michigan! It turned out to be one gorgeous sunset and one amazing view.
Damn... I love this session with Amy and Justin! Usually it's all about the locations for me. I have so much fun finding and sorting out the best place to go with each couple. I don't want to just pick out some random spots, my goal is to always find the places that reflect on the people. But with Amy and Justin the locations didn't end up playing a major role. For them, it was all about each other.
There's a special place in my photo filled heart for weddings without bridal parties. Don't get me wrong I love hanging out with all bridal parties! It's always a blast to be surrounded by ecstatic people who've been spending a great deal of time drinking. They always keep things lively and ridiculous! But on the exact opposite spectrum we have Stephanie and Mike. Their day was more like riding around Chicago in a limo with two friends, and it happened to be their wedding day. It was quite, it was beautiful, and it didn't even feel like work. In terms of a photographers dream, this was it. We had time to do anything we wanted, and since the weather took a turn for the worse on their engagement day, we wanted to showcase the Chicago Skyline, other than that. It was all candids and greatness.
Another amazing test shot of Sam!
