Rachel and Mike came all the out from Chicago to have their engagement session in the mountains of Olympic National Park. They were dying to come out to the Olympic Peninsula for a vacation and we timed everything perfectly to have an evening of hiking and exploring. We may have hiked a few beers onto the trail before we really got started with the shoot. It was a damn good time and I can't wait for their wedding this fall in Chicago!
Khalid and Alahm's wedding was absolutely gorgeous! What made their wedding so unique was their blend of cultures and traditions. With both families being from Iran, they wanted to merge modern and traditional and they did it beautifully! A huge bonus I got to work with some incredible vendors who worked so hard to make their day come together.
Back in October I shot an engagement session in Colorado, and of course I used that as a chance to see as much of the state as possible! I had to get to a wedding in North Carolina so I had about a week to camp, hike and explore. I'd say Colorado absolutely gives Washington a run for it's money. There was so much to see and do that I can't wait to get back and see even more.
For this trip Samuel Luckas Gove, my old studio manager and long time friend, pretended to be a tour guide as we road tripped all over the state!
This was such an incredible shoot! Actually the whole trip out to Denver was perfect. Not only did I get to visit Denver for the first time, but I hiked and camped all over Colorado with one of my best buds. Mary Pat and Calens engagement session on Mt Evans was just the start!
