This isn't Jessica and Steven's first engagement shoot, this is actually their second! For their first shoot, we snowshoed around Steven's pass at sunrise. Of course, it was absolutely gorgeous, but also absolutely freezing! For their second engagement session, we decided on something much warmer and and much closer to home. We choose Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, it's a beautiful park and it happens to be their favorite place to let their dog Bailey run around.
I've been to some ridiculously fun weddings, but I think Shelby and Marks's takes the cake! After all, it's not everyday that a bride and a groom do a keg stand at the end of their wedding! Their wedding was so much more then that, they're the nicest and sweetest couple. All of their friends and family exemplify just who they are. I couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of their day.
I always feel so honored when asked to capture someone's wedding. it's not just that a couple trusts me to photograph them, but they trust me to help create memories that they can share for decades.
As always, thank you to all the other vendors that helped bring Shelby and Mark's wedding together! Bybee Farms, Florist in the Foothills, Woodshop BBQ, Brian James (the best ceremony musician ever!), Chromatique Salon, and Shalonda Pequero Makeup.
That's right, I was on Orcas Island for 2 weddings this year! This place is a goldmine for photos, every inch of forest and coastline has so many possibilities! But that's enough about my love of landscapes and scenery, there's more important things to talk about. Like Derek and Kyler, they have some of the best friends and family that I've ever come across while photographing a wedding. I am not exaggerating, out of the 150 ish (who even knows how many weddings I've photographed), their wedding had hands down the most beautiful and thoughtful toast I have ever heard. I think that's a testament to how much love Derek and Kyler have for each other but also how they have impacted the lives of the people around them.
Thank you both for inviting me to be a part of your day! Also, thank you to everyone who helped bring their day together and Bayside Cottages for hosting.
Anisa and Marc's wedding was just incredible! I truly can't say this enough! Their wedding was the perfect adventure, well having a wedding on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands is going to do that. First you have to take a 90(ish) minute, and absolutely gorgeous, ferry ride. The whole time you're surrounded by views of the island chain, the Washington coast, and of course Mt Baker to the east. If you're lucky you might even see a few whales. Once you get off the ferry you're greeted by a beautiful island community on your drive to Rosario Resort. That's just how you get to the wedding! Everything else about their day was even better!
Check out all these amazing vendors that helped make Anisa and Marc's wedding perfect! Erin from It's All In The Details planned the whole thing, Sugar Pine put together these gorgeous floral arrangements, Brandon Landon of Sound + Spendor did the incredible lights and music, with makeup provided by Urbanista Weddings.
